Life progressions

So one of my new year's resolution is to keep tabs of my prayer activity and it's been extremely fruitful. It has something to do with the feeling that I've actually had accomplished something in my spiritual life. It reminds of me of this quote from Toward God:

Prayer is our means of taking a sighting, of re-orienting ourselves - by re-establishing contact with our goal. In the presence of God many components of our life fall into perspective and our journey begins to make more sense. We look toward God, conscious that seeking what is unseen corresponds to a very deep stratum of our being. It is not just a bright idea or a fad; it grows from the soil of the heart. Prayer is inseparable from living. 

I feel that my thought process will be incomplete if I don't have St. Augustine's quote, so here it is,

Sing with your voices, and sing also with your conduct.
