Marana ta!

Today's gospel speaks about not worrying. Really timely for myself as I will have 2 exams next week. As I listened to the homily, my mind wanders. Where am I? I am in the house of the Lord, in anticipation of the coming of Christ in the Eucharist. Am I not aware? Christ Himself is here: body, soul, and divinity and I am about to consume Him! Yet I am still anxious about my first exam this semester. I am weak. I am like the person from last gospel that says, "I believe! Help my unbelief!"

So as I approach Jesus in the Eucharist, consuming Him, I say a quick prayer, "Marana ta!" Come Lord Jesus, and transform me to be Your faithful disciple.
