We are faithful

This is an oft-quoted words from Mother Teresa, but it's the latter part, the one that's often left out that made this quote a great quote.

God doesn’t ask that we succeed in everything, but that we are faithful. However beautiful our work may be, let us not become attached to it. Always remain prepared to give it up, without losing your peace.

Not being attached? Always remain prepared to give it up? Without losing your peace?

As somebody who has undergone the feeling of being left unemployed, this is a hard saying.

Yet it is true, we are NOT what we do. Our dignity is much more than that. It is the realization that we are a child of God. And all that we have are his. And to Him alone belong all glory and honor.
