First week

First week of school means going back to school mode. As I listened to the lecture and jotted down notes, I realized that this is something that I wanted to do. I enjoyed the environment of knowledge sharing and the beauty that we all see in science. Will I still have this romantic idea at the end of the semester? I'll keep you updated.

The cool aspect of our engineering building is that it has a chapel where daily mass is being offered every weekday. One day, the homily was on the parable of the 10 virgins and their lamps. The priest says, "I liked the fact that this version uses the word 'virgin' instead of bridesmaid. Why? Because celibacy is not the point." Whether we are single, or married, we are all called to follow Christ. If you are celibate, that does not automatically bring salvation as this parable indicate. If you are not celibate, that does not mean that you are automatically disqualified from this race. 

Something to ponder about: don't we have too many excuse sometimes when it comes to following God and His will?
